Tire Photography for Tire Brands

For 18 years, tires have been our specialty at OC Product Photos. Brands send us full lines, and we return consistent, catalog-ready images of every SKU: all-angle e-commerce shots on white with natural shadows, dramatic hero images for launches, 360° spins, and video. Before a tire goes on set, we prep it by hand. We trim the mold spews, paint it a uniform black, and remove the factory tread stripes, so every image shows the tire the way its designers intended. Our studio is in Orange, California, and we have worked with tire brands nationwide including Mickey Thompson, Arroyo, X Comp, Nexen and Atturo. Off-road, all terrain, commercial, drift, SxS, and drag tires - we’ve shot them all.

Tire Prep: Why Our Tires Look Better

A tire fresh from the mold isn’t ready for its close-up. Every tire we shoot goes through a hands-on prep process first, and it’s the biggest reason our tire images stand out from other studios’.

  • Trim every mold spew. We clip off all the small rubber “nipples” (vent spews) that the injection mold leaves behind, so the tread and sidewall read clean and sharp.

  • Paint it a uniform black. Raw rubber is often blotchy, with shiny patches, mold-release residue and uneven tone. We paint each tire an even black, so the tread pattern and sidewall lettering come through crisp, and every SKU in a catalog matches.

  • Remove the factory tread stripes. The colored ID stripes on the tread are for the factory, not your shoppers. We remove them so the tread design is the hero.

What you get: cleaner detail, consistent tone across every size in a line, and far less retouching on the final images.

All-Angle E-Commerce Tire Photos on White, with Natural Shadows

Shoppers want to see the sidewall, the tread and how the tire sits. We shoot every SKU from the same set of angles: sidewall, three-quarter and straight-on tread. Each one goes on pure white with a soft, natural shadow that grounds the tire, never a flat cut-out floating on the page. Lighting, camera position and framing stay locked, so a 215/50R17 and a 37x12.50 in the same line look like they belong together on your site, on Amazon, and in dealer and distributor feeds.

  • Standard angles: sidewall, 3/4 and tread. Additional angles on request.

  • White background with a natural ground shadow. Transparent or clipped versions are available.

  • Export sizes and formats can be matched to your marketplace and distributor specs.

Dramatic Hero Images for Launches and Campaigns

A new tire needs more than a catalog shot. For launches, ads, trade-show graphics and social media, we create dramatic hero images: low-key studio lighting, rim light and tight detail on the tread compound and sidewall lettering. For the launch of the Arroyo Extreme Sport RR drift tire, we lit the tire in a single spotlight with rimmed accents to match its motorsport attitude.

360° Tire Spins That Let Shoppers Turn the Tire

A 360° spin answers the questions a still image can't: how deep the shoulder blocks go, how the sidewall wraps, how aggressive the tread looks from every angle. We capture full rotations on a motorized turntable and deliver them as looping GIFs, MP4s, or individual frames for your 360 viewer. For example, our Atturo AZ810 spin is 78 frames in one full rotation.

  • Deliverables: looping GIF, MP4 or frame sequence (PNG/JPG).

  • Frame counts and output sizes can be matched to your site's 360 viewer.

Tire Video (Launch / Hype Video)

Bring a tire launch to life with motion. We produce studio tire videos; turntable reveals, macro tread passes and lighting sweeps, close-ups, cutaways and effects. Brands use the same assets across product pages, social media, trade-show screens and dealer training.

Tire Photography FAQ

Do you prep tires before photographing them?

Yes. Every tire is prepped by hand before it goes on set. We trim the rubber mold spews (the small "nipples" left by the mold vents), paint the tire a uniform black so raw-rubber blotches and shine don't show, and remove the colored factory stripes on the tread.

Why does tire prep make such a big difference?

Untreated tires photograph unevenly: spews break up the tread's outline, raw rubber shows patchy tone and residue, and tread stripes draw the eye away from the design. Prepping the tire first gives cleaner detail, consistent color across a whole product line, and less retouching.

What angles do you shoot for e-commerce tire listings?

Our standard set is the sidewall, a three-quarter view and the tread, shot on pure white with a natural ground shadow. Lighting and positioning stay the same for every SKU in a line. Additional angles can be added.

Do you create 360° tire spins?

Yes. We shoot full rotations on a turntable and deliver looping GIFs, MP4s or frame sequences for 360 viewers. Our Atturo AZ810 spin, for example, uses 78 frames for one rotation.

Can you produce tire videos?

Yes. Along with photography, we produce studio tire videos for launches, social media, trade-show screens and product pages.

How long does a tire photography project take, and how is it priced?
